Videoconferencing in France

As an English Language Assistant in Nancy, France, Anne taught students in-person, as well as online through a videoconferencing platform.

She adapted her lessons and teaching style to fit the unconventional teaching environment. Visuals, videos, songs, and interactive activities structured her lessons and kept the students' attention. While each online English sessions was short in length, Anne ensured that every single student participated in the verbal and auditory exercises. Keeping each part of a lesson short and sweet and memorable was very effective with students. Also, by establishing a set routine for each online class, students were able to develop confidence and a sense of security in learning a new language.

This online teaching experience was extremely helpful in preparing Anne for today's need for remote learning and teaching.

Below is an excerpt from the song, My Crazy Family which helps students learn family vocabulary.
